Dance Tiles
Engine that turns music into interactive, follow-along video
Building
Dance Tiles is a music-driven video engine. A track goes in and a finished, on-beat, follow-along video comes out, ready to publish. It is a private project, so this page covers the shape of the work rather than how it works. Built solo.
At a glance
- Role
- Solo: engine, tooling, and render pipeline
- Timeline
- September 2026 to present
- Constraints
- Every move has to read instantly on screen
The problem
Long videos with movement that has to land on the beat are slow to produce by hand, hard to keep in sync, and impossible to repeat consistently.
The approach
A data-driven pipeline: music in, a reproducible result out, with automated checks before anything renders. The internals are proprietary, so they are not described here.
Stack
- Godot 4.5
